NBA roundup: Kings add Hollins, Casspi

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento Kings on Thursday signed two veteran free agents to bolster their bench.

Center Ryan Hollins joins forward Omri Casspi as the newest members of the Kings.

This is Casspi’s second tour with the Kings having been drafted by Sacramento with the 23rd pick of the 2009 draft.

He is the first Israeli-born player to play in the NBA. In addition to the Kings, Casspi has played with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets. He has averaged 7.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in his career.

The Charlotte Bobcats drafted the 7-foot-1 Hollins out of UCLA in the second round of the 2006 NBA Draft.

In eight seasons with six teams, Hollins has compiled career averages of 3.8 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.

–MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves announced the signings of center Kyrylo Fesenko and guard Brady Heslip. Per team policy, terms of the contracts were not released.

Fesenko, 27, appeared in five games for the Timberwolves’ Summer League team in Las Vegas. He averaged 8.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.

Heslip, 24, also appeared in five games in Las Vegas. The 6-foot-2 guard averaged 6.2 points per game while making 61.1 percent of his shots. From 3-point range, he made 7 of 10 attempts.

–The Chicago Bulls announced the signing of former Orlando Magic guard E’Twaun Moore. Terms of the contract were not released.

Moore, a native of nearby East Chicago, Ind., played in 79 games with the Magic last season, averaging 6.4 points per game. He shot 43 percent from the field.

The Boston Celtics drafted Moore out of Purdue in 2011. He played the past two seasons with the Magic.
