Out of Bounds: Time to Get Flashy

The Funny, Stupid Thing of the Day

Every fan wants a mascot that truly wants to lay it all out for the team. The Spurs’ mascot, Coyote, does just that by trying to draw a charge against Nuggets guard Aaron Brooks and losing his eyes in the process! Coyote played off the malfunction amazingly well in what could have really terrified some of the more younger Spurs fans.

Dunk of the Night

Don’t give Clippers guard Chris Paul a chance to be flashy with the rock. Check this sweet off-the-backboard, alley-oop to the mighty forward Blake Griffin. Blake throws it down with force as the Pelicans’ crowd sadly expected.

Buzzer-Beaters of the Night

We got a two-for-one special going for all you buzzer-beater fans out there. First, Cavs guard Dion Waiters shows he has nerves of steel and the ruthlessness of a ice-cold killer with this incredible pull-up jumper to win the game and send the Pistons and their fans home depressed. What a soul-crushing way to lose a game; Pistons forward Josh Smith didn’t even bother to stick around to see the replay.

The second doesn’t count for as much, but recent D-League call-up Casper Ware showed the 76ers why they should keep him around as he gets a last second steal and nails a half-court shot to beat the buzzer against the Rockets. Keep hitting shots like that and showing the effort, Casper, you’ll find a home in the league for awhile.
